The Road to Ordinary

Never Stop...

About the Project
Taking my hometown Taiyuan as the shooting place, I recorded a series of trivial and unspectacular beauties around me. I went to places where the soul of the city can be best displayed and observed the buildings and people's lives there. For me, looking at these ordinary but warm scenes makes me feel satisfied. Also, some of the buildings in my photographs are very old and may be demolished soon. So I want to use my camera to save the memory of a generation.
During the pandemic, I basically stay at home. This situation gives me a lot of time to observe things that I don't usually notice. I find that sometimes beauty doesn't need to be gorgeous and eye-catching. It can be anything ordinary and universal, as long as we feel it with our heart.
Through this project, I want people to discover and feel the ordinary and hidden beauties.
